A cinemagraph is essentially an animated GIF produced from video. It’s nothing new but what do we label a GIF and what do we label a cinemagraph?
Many people will argue the differences between the two but for me, it’s all about subtly and beauty.
It’s also about picking the right elements of the image to animate. Get it wrong and it will just look like your average, quirky animated GIF, but get it right and you can add a little bit of awesome to your online creatives.
